How Game of Thrones was slowly getting murdered
Book Illustration of the "Iron Throne" |
Today I’ll
talk about what was my favorite tv show. It is an HBO series that’s available
in HBO GO. First, I loved how there wasn’t really a “good” side which you think
it was always doing right, all characters were really humans in the way they
behaved, and that’s kind of what made this series great.
On the other side
there was all this political drama, this is the plot device of the series, the “iron
throne”, which was very interesting and complex at some point, I loved the
foreshadowing and subtexts of every plot-twist and that they felt unexpected even
though viewer should knew that was going to happen. Nevertheless, in their lasts
seasons it started to develop predictable, some characters were so powerful in
political and belligerent terms that was obvious who would get the throne or at
least who might win the war, and then the story changed into a manichaeistic
scenario with the night king plot, then that was dumped, it felt rushed and quite
weird how the story kept changing its focus to then end in something that
wasn't really what should have happened in terms of plot device and what
characters aspired. That was it, I’d like to know what you think about the end
of this series if you’ve watched it, so if you feel like it leave a comment.
My favorite character and one of the most menacing in political terms |
